Energy Supply in Neighbourhoods

The poster analyses the current legal hurdles to promoting a versatile and decentralised energy supply within German neighbourhoods. It analyses the current design option, the so-called “customer system”, and compares it to citizen-driven energy communities, a future model that allows for a more cost and energy effective system.

The poster was developed in March 2023 together with researchers from the Energy Law Department at IKEM (Institute for Climate Protection, Energy and Mobility).
